advice: keep it short & to the point. better a 3 minute edited-comp track, with other tracks available if they like. and invite them to the london shows... be frank about your commitments & availability. people pass auditions by how they walk through the door & plug in. i got one job from an audition before i played a note - they were impressed by how i tuned my guitar!
these are serious people; be straightforward. if you miss this time, they'll remember you for next time.

The Spirit of King Crimson:: Posted by sporkfly on January 02, 2009
An interesting question for Robert as the 40th Anniversary approaches:We have read many times of the appearance of the Spirit of King Crimson in the context of the band; most recently on the 2008 Tour. Has this Spirit appeared/become available outside of the actual context of the band: LOCG, ProjeKCts, or other. If so, when? When is "King Crimson" around?
Not so much an interesting question, more a series of interesting questions; six, on a simple count. A characteristic of KC fans & enthusiasts is the seeming inability to ask a straightforward question. A response to Mr. Sporkfly would take longer than I have available, and involve subtleties that many visitors would likely find objectionable (if history is a guide). So, perhaps come to the next Fripp & Fripp (or appropriate) event, and ask one, straightforward & burning question then?
To gentle.
